“Salmaan’s throat” is a crack in the reef that doesn’t reach the shore. This V-shaped bay with a deep sandy bottom is surrounded by hard coral reef walls and small caves.The South reef is best dived in calm weather; the North reef is more sheltered. We usually come to this site for a first dive before exploring nearby Marsa Mubarak. It is also suitable for snorkelers.
